Classes are from 8:00am to 7:30pm on both days of class unless otherwise posted. This allows for the class to be completed in two days.

Lifeguard certifications last two years and can be recertified before their expiry date. Contact us before the date to find recertification classes.

Lifeguarding Certification Details

This is a Blended Learning course which has a mandatory online portion that must be completed before the start of class.

The Prerequisite Swim Test is administered first thing in the morning on the first day of class. Students must pass all parts of the swim test to continue the course.

This swim test includes a swim-tread-swim sequence of a 150 yard swim, then a 2 min tread using only their legs, followed by a 50 yard swim.

Afterwards, participants swim out 20 yards to pick up a 10lbs brick from a depth of 7-10 ft then swim the 20 yards back using only their legs under 1 min 40 sec.
